Lauren has spent more than 12years supporting clients recovering from childhood and adult traumatic experiences, C-PTSD, vicarious trauma and work-related trauma (including bullying, burnout and negative experiences).

Lauren also has experience working with first responders, RCMP, Veterans and front line employees. She has experience with the LGBTQ+ & Trans communities and has a unique understanding of the challenges that these populations face.

Lauren works through an emotional and attachment lense influenced by Internal Family Systems (IFS) theory, developing a wholistic approach of trauma-informed therapy. She draws from CBT, DBT, neuropsychology and EMDR.

As a certified EMDR therapist, Lauren focuses on emotional and physical recovery from trauma symptoms, anxiety and depression from an attachment-focused lens. Lauren uses EMDR because she is consistently amazed by the changes she sees in clients, especially when they have been trying therapy over and over without getting the healing that they are looking for. Lauren builds relationships with her clients through her compassionate approach, supporting them in finding their own strengths and moving towards their goals.

You may look like you have everything together, yet inside you feel worn out, tense, and disconnected from yourself. The constant pressure to keep up, care for others, and stay composed can slowly turn into burnout.

I work with high-achievers, people-pleasers, and perfectionists who are ready to feel grounded again. Together we will unpack the patterns that lead to exhaustion, strengthen emotional awareness, and create realistic strategies for balance.

My approach is warm, practical, and rooted in mindfulness and somatic awareness. If you are tired of holding everything together alone, counselling can be the place where you finally exhale.
